Privacy Policy
Applies to: Raaga Search, Raaga Finder, Rainbow Mela, Rainbow Swara, Rainbow Metronome, Rainbow Taal, Rainbow Strings, Rainbow Chords, Rainbow Chords Pro and Rainbow Instruments (together, "the apps"), and the website www.rainbowswaras.com.

The short version
The apps do not collect your personal information. They have no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and they do not send what you do in them to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your device
- Settings and choices: your theme, root note, tuning, favourites, recent ragas, custom ragas, saved setups and your purchase level are stored on your device only.
- Microphone: the apps that listen (the tuner and swara listener in Raaga Search, Rainbow Strings, and the practice recorder in Raaga Search and the Advanced level of Rainbow Metronome) ask for the microphone permission. Audio is analysed on the device to show the note you are playing, and is not uploaded. A recording you make is saved only on your device, or where you choose to save or share it. The Rainbow Chords, Chords Pro and Instruments apps do not request the microphone at all.
- Files you export: a backup, a recording, a picture or a MIDI file is written where you tell Android to put it, or shared through the app you choose. After you share it, that app's own privacy policy applies.
Purchases
Where an app offers upgrades (for example Rainbow Chords Pro, Rainbow Instruments, Rainbow Strings and the levelled apps), the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We receive no card or payment details. The app asks Google Play which products you own so it can unlock them; that exchange is between your device and Google and is covered by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Apps without purchases do not use the internet.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share personal data, show ads, build profiles, use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services, or ask for your contacts, location, photos or accounts.
Children
The apps are suitable for all ages and collect nothing from anyone, including children under 13 (or the age set by local law).
Our websites
The website is informational and does not use cookies or analytics. If that changes we will update this policy first.
Security and retention
Because the data stays on your device, it is protected by your device's own security. Uninstalling an app removes its data. Backups you create are yours to keep or delete.
Your rights
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you write to us, we use your email only to reply, and delete it when the matter is closed. Contact us at support@rainbowswaras.com with any question. This policy is written with Google Play's User Data policy and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.
Changes
If an app ever starts collecting data, we will update this policy and the app's store listing before that version is released. The date above shows the latest version.
